Here we see our brave hero Kdv42 venture out into the mysterious and bizarre world of Oslo, where the rules of nature are as unstable as the city itself.

During each autumnal equinox, the body of water that runs through the city abdicates its bond to the earth, causing an upheaval of liquid H2O to rain skyward. Some believe this is due to an angry river spirit not particular to abiding by the rules of "fall".

Threatened with a barren estuary, those in charge of keeping the city's infrastructure intact were forced into a solution only an Oslonian could conceive. Pondering the question "How do you keep water from gravitating up?", the powers that be realized there may already be such an apparatus in existence: The umbrella! They surmised that no matter the juxtaposition of condensation nuclei, the umbrella was suited perfectly with inhibiting a torrential downpour, uppour, or anywhichwaypour.

Thus, what you see in this delightful picture, captured by the ever-adventurous Kdv42, is a series of these objects the photograph itself is named after, put into place by city officials, seemingly floating upon the water with the exteriors facing opposite their traditional orientation, in order to preserve the subtle balance between man and mother nature.

Oh, and they have blue lights in them, too. Because aesthetics.
